Since so many of you braved my last entry like the freaking amazing troopers you are, I feel the need to reward you with this. Perhaps my shortest blog post ever!
Today was good. Now, don’t get it twisted. Today was good, for what today could have been and that’s good enough for me right now. I didn’t sleep more than 5 hours last night. Thanks Solumedrol…I always forget about your downsides! I’m far too busy feeling like a ballerina! This lack of sleep made me much less ballerina-like today but still all good. I got my IV in on the third try…not so bad. I’m going to bed with that shit still in my hand because I’d rather not have to get stuck again tomorrow (not so good…it grosses me out to such a degree I can’t really articulate it properly):
SHIVERS. But I did manage to perform my nightly way-too-many steps skin care routine even with that stupid bandaged hand. Silver lining? My skin will be glowing in the infusion room tomorrow. I have my reputation to consider here. During my hours in that room today, I outlined an entire skincare ritual for Nurse A, including pictures, order of use and where to purchase each item. It was the most fun I’ve had in weeks! Praise be to Hirons! If you’re at all into skin care you’re gonna want to click that link immediately. Trust me on this.
And with that? I’m off to bed. I will be asleep before 8PM. Not even high-dose steroids can keep me awake tonight.
60% down has a nice ring to it. I hope I dream of a world without needles. A world I will never see again! But I can dream.
Nighty-night, friends. May you have sweet dreams of your own.

November 8, 2018 9:18 amI’m counting the minutes until this experience ends but I can see the other side from here! So that’s a good thing for sure. 👍🏻

November 7, 2018 8:34 pmSo glad it’s more than halfway through — and that it seems a little easier for you now than at the beginning of the treatment.

November 8, 2018 9:19 amIt’s funny how quickly something becomes routine after following the same steps days in a row. But yeh. I’m ready for this to be over. Almost!!! ❤️

November 8, 2018 9:23 amHahahaha! I appreciate that someone out there appreciates my verbose tendencies. 😂 don’t worry. I’ll be back to my wordy ways once I get some decent sleep. 👍🏻

November 8, 2018 9:25 amWe’re everywhere! Queen Hirons is like my idol. And that stash gives me no end of joy. I know you get it and that’s so awesome! I’m clinging to the little things that make me feel even a little bit normal. There are so few of those left anymore! Thanks for the hugs!! 😘

November 8, 2018 9:26 amSo close! And yet so far. Lol this feels like it might never end and I’m just going to wake up every morning and automatically drive here because that’s what I do now. It’s funny how new routines take over so quickly. But I’m so so close now!! I can feel it. 🙂
