Hey friends.
This is just a quick note to let folks know that I am back in the hospital for a while and am having difficulty writing (typing really) on anything but my phone so I will be using my blog Facebook page to give updates and my usual rando thoughts.
Come check me out over there for the time being until I can get back into keyboard typing form – and hopefully get back to writing sensible things and not what’s right off the top of my head on this phone.

I’m not sure how long this little adventure will last but I’m doing my best to zen my way through it…with the help of lots of (legal) drugs. Wish me luck.

July 6, 2020 11:31 amI’m so sorry you are going through this. Between the surgery, inpatient rehab, PT and OT, you’ve fought so hard to improve. I know people say this all the time, but it just doesn’t seem fair. i may be off-base, but the cervical disc issue seems to have started following the pump surgery. Could something during the surgery have precipitated this? I hope there is a long stretch of smooth sailing in your future.

July 7, 2020 10:08 amIt’s all interconnected I think. The janky way I have to move when my pump isn’t keeping up with my spasticity probably helped make this disc thing happen. It’s kind of a chicken and egg kind of thing. Hard to know what is cause and what is effect. ♥️

Do do you think the baclofen pump operation, or even the upturn in the weather has caused a bit of a relapse/exacerbation?
Are you having some steroids?
Well, a rest from everything will do you the world of good – you have worked very hard and been through a lot these last few months… ( MS is a neurotic bitch and she doesn’t like much progress does she…) … – but make sure you carry on with your stretches (ward off those dvts)and a few squats in between eyeing up the tasty doctors/nurses)
And to give your mind a bit of a rest with watching random mindless shite In your comfy fancy pants hospital bed… and not worrying about Anything for now..
See it as you being there to calm down, chill out and just take that step back until you are ready
(I go from being absolutely wretched to absolutely elated and back again in a very very short space of time
But chanting’ Im feeling better now’ 100 times and other such positive affirmations, seems to help… I get a buzz out of fooling my consciousness- hmmm that’s how we is rolling these days)
I am a Facebook swerver, so will look out for updates here, but amigo chill for a few days yeah?
